Design story

What makes a good cycling jersey? Does it look good? Does it feel good on your skin? Does it breathe well so you don’t overheat? Is it tight fitting to aid aerodynamics? Does it stretch to allow movement on the bike? Does it stretch to fit your body, rather than compress your body to fit it? We thought so.

The development of our cycling jersey was a labour of love. And we love the result.

It started and ended with the fabric. We wanted to find something different. Something that wasn’t rigid or limiting. Something that didn’t make people feel like a squeezed chicken, but still allowed them to perform like a seated cheetah. We wanted it soft, not stiff; stretchy, not squeezy; stylish, not showy. When we had it, we knew. We dyed the fabric (rather than printing on it), to keep the feel and allow for classic, timeless design with a sewn-on silicone badge and reflective high-visibility silver details. We chose an aggressive fit that would stretch for non-aggressive bodies. We followed the sizing of the industry but added larger sizes too, to get as many people enjoying cycling as possible.
