For our Advanced Line, we don't count pennies: we create the best product we can and then offer it at a fair price. Nothing highlights this better than our Advanced Shorts. We love our Essential Shorts, but they don't meet the needs of seasoned riders. The chamois is wide, suited to less hardened riders who don't sit in aggressive positions. Seams were a compromise, balancing performance against construction cost. There were no pockets, and the fabric favoured compression over breathability.

The Advanced bib-shorts have everything we want as obsessed cyclists. Fabric that compresses, stretches and breathes. No seams, silicone hems and a tailored cut for unrestricted movement whilst staying in place. Pockets for our snacks and phone. And above all, the best chamois we have ever tested. Thin and dense, with targeted pressure relief in all the right places. We spent months trying to find something that could beat it — wary of its high price tag — but nothing came close, and we came to the conclusion: the price tag was worth it.

We also wanted to add a toilet-break feature for women. We looked at what other cycling brands were offering and interviewed female riders about their wishes and experiences. The conclusion was simple: it doesn't matter what the system is, it just has to work. We wanted something simple and not fiddly; hidden, but easy to find. We chose a magnetic clip, positioned at bra-strap height, that opens with a simple squeeze between top and bottom, then re-attaches itself with ease. The result speaks for itself: elegant and effective.
